A Strange Little Trip

My husband recently discovered that I had never really watched the original Start Trek series. Well, I haven't really watched any of the television series straight through in any order. Of course I have seen the odd episode here and there when it was on, and I remember gathering around the television for the premier episode of Star Trek The Next Generation, but beyond that, I have really only paid attention to the movies. My husband decided this needed to be rectified.

I wasn't sure I was going to be able to handle the obvious cheesiness of it all, so I tried to find a way to keep myself interested. I was always curious about all the memes and jokes regarding the seemingly overwhelming occurrences of red shirt deaths, so I decided that perhaps keeping a death tool might keep me interested.

The Rules

1. All deaths are to be recorded whenever possible.
2. Only deaths occurring during the actual episode are to be counted.
3. Off scene deaths are to be counted if confirmed by dialogue.
